What it does	A Business Process is a chain of complex and often inter-related business actions. In complex system environments, all actions within a business process often can not be executed in one complete run through. For instance, business processes in the Banking Industry or Retail Industry may be interupted by end of day/month/year procedures. Whenever there is a business necessity to allow the interuption of test case execution in pre-determined positions, you would choose to create a business testcase consisting of elementary testcases. TOSCA provides execution results (green lights and red lights) both on the layers of the atomic and the business testcase. Other systems do not allow the pre-definition of expected interuption points; therefore, they fall short when it comes to providing partial test execution information which accurately reflects the test progress.

Test Configuration * Requested by our Customers Single Definition for Multiple Configurations
What it does	Allows testers to use dynamic data such as file path, version numbers, and any user-defined data which is specified for any execution context including different platforms, different versions while still using a single test case. This separation of config-specific information from the test case definition is another milestone in the reduction of maintenance efforts as it allows Testers to have only a single testcase for different execution purposes. Other Testing Solutions would require solving this requirement by pure programming.

Additional New Features in TOSCA Commander

Embedded Excel File * Requested by our Customers Data Source for Testcase Templates
What it does	You now can embed your excel files directly into the TOSCA Commander Repository and use it as a data source for template instantiation. Prior to the new feature, testers needed to reference external Excel files which had to be stored in filesharing systems to be accessible to all workspaces. You can now modify the excel files in any workspace, can export and import the excel files and also place the excel spreadsheets under version control.

What it does	You can now embed your Execution Descriptions (Keywords) directly into the TOSCA Commander Repository by attaching the script to the appropriate TOSCA Module. Prior to the new feature, testers needed to reference external directories which had to be stored in filesharing systems to be accessible to all workspaces. You can now modify the execution descriptions in any workspace, and can export and import them with the TOSCA Modules and place these under version control.
